About me

I am an Artist and Arts Educator and I am passionate and committed to both. Over the years I have worked in a broad spectrum of creative environments, both educative and industry based, helping people to develop and fulfil their potentials whilst experiencing and exploring as diverse range of creative and critical learning tools as means will allow.

I have BA in Fine Art, Painting from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design and a Master’s Degree in Fine Art specialising in drawing and alternative photography from Middlesex University where, since 2007, I have worked as a visiting lecturer and occasional, museum docent in Fine Art for the BA and the former Intensive Foundation course programmes at Middlesex. I also spent a number of years prior to 2007 and since this date lecturing in art and design in Further Education institutions in Oxford and London on traditional Art Foundations, National and Subsidiary Diploma courses, as well as first diplomas in art, design and digital media. I am fully qualified to teach ESL and my PGCE is from The Institute of Education at UCL and I hold full QTLS via the Society for Education and Training.

My industry expertise ranges from time spent in advertising agencies, art studios, galleries and performance venues to include The Serpentine Gallery, Saatchi and Saatchi, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House, Royal Academy and Royal Drawing Studios. During this time, I have also studied academically and through my commitment to lifelong learning, my aim is to promote clarity, utilise my experience and where possible, add spontaneity to my pedagogical practice as well as my personal creative output to include exhibiting and academic conferences.
